TOG คาดการณ์ยอดขายในครึ่งปีหลังเติบโตได้ หากสถานการณ์โควิดคลี่คลาย

TOG CEO, Torn Pracharktam, has announced the company’s financial results for the second quarter of 2021. Revenue from sales of goods and services totaled 577 million Baht, constituting an increase of 157% from the same period last year, with a net profit of 87 million Baht, representing a 263% increase from the same period of the previous year, from an increase in sales revenue and a decrease in cost of goods.

The highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19 is spreading rapidly, causing a sharp increase in infected cases, both in Thailand and abroad. This may affect TOG's overall business in the second half of the year. However, currently, TOG’s sales are expected to grow, if the global situation improves. The company continues to receive a positive volume of orders from key customers in the Americas, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, in addition to the steady operations of its subsidiaries, namely TOG USA Inc. and TOG EUROPE SP Z O.O.

Owing to the demand for lenses to help prevent and resolve eye problems, as well as in response to the continued use of digital screens by consumers, TOG is planning to release new products in the Zdesign progressive lens range. Zense Basic and Zense Plus are personalized progressive lenses for beginners with presbyopia, while Zeen Basic and Zeen Plus are customized single vision lenses to reduce eye fatigue, often caused by the eyes constantly focusing on digital screens. Furthermore, Zaphire Fogoff premium lens coating will help prevent the lens surface from becoming foggy, and enhance clarity of vision, particularly whilst wearing masks or moving through spaces with difference temperatures.

Moving forward, TOG has prepared an investment plan to upgrade the Lens Casting production line to a semi-automatic production system, for increased lens production efficiency and capacity, to prepare for and support every business opportunity in 2022.

Although COVID-19 in Thailand continues to increase, the company has been continuously implementing the most stringent measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, in accordance with the instructions from the Ministry of Health. TOG has provided measures for and facilitated employees receiving vaccinations, as early as possible, in order to establish group immunity, within the workplace.
